Located only 20 minutes from downtown Denver, Morrison’s residents live in a recreationalists and outdoorsman’s paradise at the very entrance to the Rocky Mountain foothills. It is home to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, one of the world’s most famous concert venues, and the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheater. Downtown Morrison caters to world traveling concert-goers and residents alike with spirited shops, restaurants and bars along Bear Creek Avenue.

 

Morrison features great spots for mountain biking & hiking with nearby trails at Mount Falcon Park, Apex Trail, Matthews / Winters Park and Dakota Ridge along the front range. It also provides quick access to Evergreen up the canyon and more open spaces such a Lair O’ The Bear, Corwina, O’Fallon & Pence Parks. Morrison’s Red Rocks Country Club offers residents a challenging mountain-style golf course, featuring a stunning display of massive red rock formations and a panoramic view of the downtown Denver skyline.

 

Another must-see in Morrison is Dinosaur Ridge, an area rich with dinosaur excavation. The Morrison Natural History Museum has bones and fossils on display, which were first discovered in the area in 1877. And just down the road is The Fort, which is a high-end wild-game restaurant. A replica of Bent's Old Fort, it’s a unique adobe building celebrating Western culture with décor and southwestern food, quality wines and decadent desserts.
