ABOUT AURORA, CO
Aurora used to be a small, quaint community occupied by farmers and ranchers and is now a lively city full of active residents. Locals enjoy 5,000+ acres of hiking trails and open space, 100+ parks, 2 reservoirs for fishing and water sports, the Aurora Sports Park and 7 golf courses. Currently one of the largest suburbs in the Denver metro area, Aurora features many different types of neighborhoods and developments, many of which showcase an amazing mountain perspective with a full view of the Front Range with the downtown skyline nestled in front. The city is surrounded by high desert prairies and is situated just minutes from Denver International Airport.
Aurora is not only a hot cultural hub, the city is home to booming businesses and growing industries such as aerospace, renewable energy, bioscience and healthcare including the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Hospital and The Anschutz Medical Campus, a world-class education, patient care, and research space. One of the newer community gathering spots is the Stanley Marketplace, which is a renovated former airplane hangar sitting on the original Denver airport’s main runway. It’s home to over 50 independent restaurants, bars, breweries, retail shops, fitness studios, and event venues.
