CITY PARK
ABOUT CITY PARK
City Park is located just up the hill from Downtown Denver in between some of Denver’s primary thoroughfares on 23rd Avenue, Colfax, York, and Downing. Commuting to downtown Denver is easy and quick by car, bus, or bike and there are many fantastic restaurants, music venues, coffee shops, and bars within walking distance along historic Colfax Ave. Plus you can even enjoy a stunning view of the snow-dusted Rocky Mountains behind the city skyline most of the day!
City Park real estate is some of the most eclectic around. The homes are a broad spectrum of Denver Squares, historic row homes, Victorians, apartment complexes, bungalows, Queen-Anne-style houses and a newer modern stretch of luxury condos and townhomes along 17th Avenue overlooking the park. Sprinkled throughout are even a few historic Silver Boom-era homes that date back to the 1880s and 1890s, many of which have been converted into museums.
The neighborhood is built around Denver’s City Park, an impressive 317 acres which includes the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, two lakes, a boat house, two playgrounds, historical monuments, an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, and baseball, football and soccer fields. City Park also hosts many events throughout the year including the Colfax Marathon and City Park Jazz (free jazz concerts throughout the summer) and the Black Arts Festival. And it’s simply a great place to run, walk or take your dog for a stroll!
