GREENWOOD VILLAGE

Greenwood Village is located 15 minutes south of downtown Denver and is home to the Denver Tech Center (DTC), in which many of the region’s corporate headquarters are based. Greenwood Village is on RTD’s Light Rail system’s E, F, and R-Lines, granting Greenwood Village resident’s reliable transportation to downtown Denver and the greater metro area. It is located within the highly desirable Cherry Creek School district, with satellite campuses for Regis University as well as Metropolitan State University of Denver. This area has a long and proud history beginning with pioneers and Native Americans who first settled this area. During the 1860s, settlers came from the east and mid-west to find gold. By the early 1900s, the Village area thrived with orchards of cherry, apple, apricot, plum, and pear trees. The northern half of old Greenwood Ranch included Glenmoore of Cherry Hills Village and the southern half included Horseshoe Park and The Preserve in Greenwood Village. The name “Greenwood Ranch” was the inspiration for the name “Greenwood Village.” Greenwood Village features 300 acres of parks and a trail system that provides 40 miles of scenic biking and walking trails. Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre is the largest outdoor theatre in the metropolitan Denver area, where world-famous artists perform throughout the summer season.

 

Greenwood Village Disc Golf Course and Topgolf are Greenwood Village’s golf attractions, and Club Greenwood is the local recreational center with a gym, basketball court, physical therapy & spa. Among the beautiful residential neighborhoods of Greenwood Village, Green Oaks stands supreme. Green Oaks offers mature landscaping and spacious homes which are designed in Cape Cod, colonial, Mediterranean, and Tudor architecture styles. The neighborhood has horse properties, is located on the banks of the famous High Line Canal and Trail, and maintains a fenceless area to create an open and intimate atmosphere.
