HIGHLANDS RANCH

Highlands Ranch is a 22,000-acre master-planned community 12 miles south of Denver. Located on the eastern bank of Chatfield Reservoir, Highlands Ranch offers over 2,000 acres of open space, over 60% of which is devoted to non-urban uses, including public parks, off-leash dog areas, and 60+ miles of paved and nature trails for walking, running, and biking. This region overall has 19 elementary schools, four middle schools, five high schools, and numerous daycare facilities. Community pools, skate parks, an outdoor in-line hockey rink, lighted tennis courts and ball fields, and community gardens round out the outdoor recreation choices, while the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) maintains four state-of- the-art recreation centers that offer an abundance of amenities. Highlands Ranch has grown into one of the most successful master-planned communities in the West.
