Roxborough is located in Douglas County about 30 minutes southwest of downtown Denver, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and it offers residents a beautiful mountain backdrop and a wide variety of outdoor activities. It sits on the banks of the South Platte River, which flows out of the mountains at Waterton Canyon, through Chatfield State Park, then to downtown Denver. Chatfield State Park 1,423-acre lake is popular for boating, water skiing, sailing, fishing, swimming, camping, and many more activities all year round. Other neighborhood amenities include Arrowhead Golf Course, The Club at Ravenna, Roxborough Community Park and Crystal Lake Park.
Roxborough State Park features over 4,000 acres of iconic red sandstone rock formations that were formed millions of years ago, along with stunning plains and wildlife such as black bears and mule deer. The natural wonders of Roxborough’s landscape can be seen throughout 8 trails & approximately 14 miles which feature scenic spots such as the Fountain Valley & Lyons Overlook along with a 6+ mile trek to the top of 7,160-square-foot Carpenter Peak. The residentials neighborhoods were first established in the early 70’s and has gradually grown throughout the 2000’s. Homes range in style, price, and size with quarter to half acre lots, walkout basements and extensive decks which offer panoramic views of the Denver skyline and the Rocky Mountains.
