Sloan’s Lake is conveniently located just 10 minutes west of downtown Denver, off of West Colfax. The neighborhood’s close proximity to some of downtown Denver’s most popular neighborhoods like Highlands, LoHi and LoDo is amazing in itself, let alone that it borders a beautiful body of water that sits in the middle of the neighborhood and provides residents with plenty to do. There are many new bars and restaurants in Sloan Lake, as well as some big box stores for convenience. It is the perfect place to be for those who want to live an active lifestyle.
Sloan’s Lake Park is obviously the most defining feature of this neighborhood, and it is the second largest park in Denver. At 177 acres, Sloan’s Lake Park residents can take part in their favorite outdoor activities such jogging & bicycling around the three-mile pedestrian path that circles the lake, along with basketball & tennis courts and water activities such as paddle boarding, fishing and even boating. The park also hosts the Dragon Boat Festival every summer, which celebrates Asian American culture.
Sloan’s Lake contains an architecturally diverse selection of homes ranging from 1920s brick bungalows to new, post-modern homes. The area has recently seen a boom of new single-family homes and luxury condominiums, which has encouraged the commercial growth of restaurants, bars and shops in the hospital redevelopment zone and includes local hot spots such as the Tap & Burger, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Joyride Brewing Company, Lakeview Lounge and Odell Brewing Company.
