ABOUT THORNTON, CO

The city of Thornton is located 10 miles north of Downtown Denver with light rail access provided through RTD’s N-Line. It spans over Adams & Weld counties with a population of 135,000+ people and is 15 minutes from Denver International Airport. It features a mixture of older homes and new developments such as Orchard Farms, Willow Bend and North Hill. What was once farmland in the 1950s, Thornton now offers outdoor enthusiasts 2,000 acres of open space and recreation areas, 25 parks, golf courses and a premium outlet mall. Popular local attractions include the Springvale Park Disc Golf Course, Todd Creek Golf Club and Carpenter Recreation Center, all of which have scenic views of the Rocky Mountains. Thornton hosts multiple events throughout the year, such as Thorntonfest in May, featuring a battle of the bands, car show, climbing walls, carnival rides and a “paw fest” for animal lovers.


Harvestfest is in September and has a cultural bazaar, fishing derby, rollerblading and skateboarding competitions and more.
