VIRGINIA VILLAGE / VIRGINIA VALE
ABOUT VIRGINIA VILLAGE / VIRGINIA VALE
The neighborhoods of Virginia Vale & Virginia Village are located 15 minutes from the city core. The proximity to Colorado Boulevard and South Parker Road offers residents easy access to Cherry Creek, Downtown Denver and even the Denver Tech Center (DTC). It borders the Cherry Creek, which flows from Cherry Creek Reservoir to meet the South Platte River in downtown Denver. The Cherry Creek Trail is an amazing pedestrian and bike trail which runs along the banks of the river and provides cyclists an urban relief.
Some of the original Denver suburbs, this neighborhood has traditionally been a collection of post-WWII single-family homes on a square-block grid. However, modern townhomes and single-family homes have begun to transform the neighborhood in recent years. There are a collection of ranch style homes, two story dwellings and mid-mod architecture.
The neighborhood has a collection of public parks with open green spaces, dog parks, playgrounds and walking trails along with the iconic Four Mile Historic Park. The park has Denver’s earliest standing structure, a 160-year-old house originally used as a stop along the Cherokee Trail, as well as agricultural space and a museum.
